The picture on Sony TV is always absolutely amazing! and more other remarkable as deep blacks, sharp colors, great 5.1 speakers, 720p movies close to 1080p, real time widgets and internet movies. I have to say "Sony, you made an awesome TV!"
, the xbr7 has a ten times better quality then the 37″ Visio that i have right next to it. Overall positives: Great deep black levels, unbelievably warm colors, tons of options to adjust the quality of the picture, excellent gui etc etc. Negatives: there is white “halo” on both top corners of the TV when changing channels and the screen is all black. This got me worried in the beginning and i hope it will not get worst in the future but for now it is just a minor detail. ( i don’t know if the warranty will cover it or not” Would i recommend it to a friend? Yes i would. Would i recommend it to a family member? Of course i would. Conclusion: Overall a great TV that does a very good job with regular channels and a superb job with HD channels. For the amount of $ that i purchased the TV it is well worth it. Ah and one more time: if you learn anything from this review besides the fact that this TV is just as good as it looks, Learn from my mistake and don’t get ATT U-verse because you will definitely regret it. ——— Update: I have had the TV for few months now and it has surpassed my expectations. My primary objective was to find a tv that will do a good job at non HD channels and boy did i find one. I changed the Cable provider and now i have Cox. What can i say i still keep on smiling when i look at every channel wether it is HD or not because the quality is just superb. Even the “Halos” “Clouds” they just disappeared and i have not seen them for over a month now. I would definitely give it a 5 star without any hesitation. If you want to learn from a Poker expert you might as well do it with one of the best in the game, T.J. Cloutier. I play AOL “free” poker online and join the tournaments on a regular basis. I did pretty good but now I know what I’m doing right and what I’m doing wrong, plus understanding some of the strategies that go with any given situation. When you’re playing the game a text box and/or video of T.J. will come up when your turn comes and will give you a recommenation. For those who don’t want advice – you can easily turn this feature off in the “options” area of the program. I ordered this mainly for the tutorial and he answers pretty much everything you want to know about Poker. In the options area you can speed up the play at the table – plus….at any time you can right click your mouse and it will fast forward to your next move – I LOVE THAT! For the price I paid via Amazon plus learning from Poker Hall of Fame player T.J. Cloutier – I am very satisfied with this purchase. If you want to know if the moves you’re making are the right ones at any stage of the game and play several types of Poker games and tournaments…then I would highly recommend getting World Class Poker with T.J. Great program and going thru Amazon I saved about $[...] = outstanding deal!

I recently purchased the Sony Bravia 46V5100, and wow is all i can say. This is my first HD anything purchase, although i did a ton of research for over a year, im glad i chose this Sony. I also promptly purchased the playstation 3 for the games and blu-ray, along with the HD package from the cable company, and it blows me away. The picture never blurs or anything like that, im a huge NASCAR fan and there is no blurring, no skipping and you never miss a bit of the action, and of course its the fastest sport on TV. With all the HDMI inputs, i dont know what else i can put in there to make it better, theres more than enough room for all the accessories. The screen is what made the difference for me between this Sony and the Samsung of the equivilant. The screen is not as glossy as the samsung, although the bezel is as shiny as the rest, you hardly notice it. The white glove delivery was great, i was notified of every step of the journey for my TV, the delivery guys unloaded it, ops checked it and explained some of the features. The only problem was a “feature” that came with the TV that darkens the screen during dark scenes on a movie or TV show, this problem has been fixed by a software update, found on the Sony support web site. its a very easy fix, just requiring an USB memory stick, or if you dont have one the Sony people will send you one. The update just takes minutes and makes a world of difference. I was a bit nervous about buying a TV online, but i went and checked it out at best buy, and it was about $400 less at amazon than at best buy, so my decision was made for me. Over all its a great tv, and a great price for the size of the TV. Thanks
